Witchy Quarantine/Lockdown Challenge ✨
Covid numbers are rising almost everywhere. And whether you are stuck at home due to a lockdown or quarantine - we all need something to keep our minds busy.
I thought that this time could be perfectly used to create some sort of witchy challenge, so that we can use this time for spiritual growth and renewal. So for fourteen days (the average number of a quarantine) I created little tasks. If any of you does this, please feel free to tag me in your posts and use the #witchyquarantine2020!
So, here they are:
Day 1 - Revise your craft: What is the main part of your craft so far? Where is your focus and what are your goals? What steps do you need to take in order to achieve them? You could create a signature page in your grimoire.
Day 2 - Cleanse: spiritually and physically. Dust off those cauldron and those shelves, get rid of negative energies that have been stuck in your home.
Day 3 - Renew your wards. The old is out, so let’s protect what is left. Renew those energy shields, those bonds you have with spirits or deities - whatever it is that keeps you safe.
Day 4 - Reorganize your altar. This might be your workspace in that your craft takes place, a place to honour your deities and/or your ancestors.
Day 5 - Divination Day. Focus on your favourite kind of divination. Do a tarot reading, ask your pendulum or your runes. I’ve gathered some idea of what you can do here, here and here.
Day 6 - Research. This could be the time to actually research the one thing you always wanted to know more about. Whether that’s the history of witchcraft, certain spell types or just some good old basics.
Day 7 - Sigils. Create at least five sigils that you could use in your (almost) everyday life. Some ideas: feeling at ease, anxiety reducing, being safe, being confident, absorbing energy etc.
Day 8 - Witchy playlist. This. What else brings you more in the witchy mood than a good old fashioned witchcraft playlist. There are already some amazing playlists out there, but this is the time to create your own personalised one.
Day 9 - Deity/Ancestor Day. Connect to your deities and or your ancestors. Listen to them. They have stories to tell, advice to give. You’ll feel less lonely and isolated from the world if you allow them to tell you stories about their worlds.
Day 10 - Water day. Create sigils, spells or items for your altar. Take time to connect to the element. What role does it play in your craft? How could you incorporate it more?
Day 11 - Earth day. Create sigils, spells or items for your altar. Take time to connect to the element. What role does it play in your craft? How could you incorporate it more?
Day 12 - Fire day. Create sigils, spells or items for your altar. Take time to connect to the element. What role does it play in your craft? How could you incorporate it more?
Day 13 - Air day. Create sigils, spells or items for your altar. Take time to connect to the element. What role does it play in your craft? How could you incorporate it more?
Day 14 - Create a spell. Finally, create a spell that you think suits your needs the most. Is it health you need, confidence or luck? Make something as “small” as a spell jar or as “big” as a huge ass monster spell.
Again, feel free to tag me and to use the #witchyquarantine2020. And don’t forget to share so others can join!
